1031 Tax Exchange

IRS Section 1031:
- The IRS allows Real Estate held for investment purposes to be sold with the equity reinvested into like kind property and deferring the potential capital gains tax in the process. From the date of sale of the relinquished property, the investor has 45 days to identify potential property for their exchange, and 180 days after sale to acquire the new property.
